Cubans Are Here

January is Cuba month. The National Team is here training with us preparing for World Cup. Their pool is under repair (truth be told - it will always be under repair) and has no heat. You may think that in Cuba, a pool doesn't need heat but diving into a cold pool from ten metres is miserable and dangerous. The water is harder and the chance of injuries greater. For Riley its nice to have more company up on the ten metre including Jose Guerra, world silver medalist and probably the only diver with a chance at beating the Chinese in Beijing. The Cuban team and their coach Leno are big fans of Riley and take their mentoring role seriously in encouraging Riley to be well prepared for the Olympics.
