And he's off, again ...

After a week at home, Sunday morning Riley left again for two more adventures. First off to Montreal where he will compete in the Junior and Senior National Championships in Montreal. From there he travels on the 18th to Rio de Janerio and the Pan American Games.

Getting Riley ready for any trip is a bit of a chore. First off, probably like most teenage boys, at any given time its difficult to find the floor of his room due to piles of clothes scattered about. And of course, all those clothes have to washed and ready to be packed because he needs every single piece! Five loads later we had piles of freshly laundered clothes ready to be reviewed. I of course thought there would be some editing involved. Not so, the pile disappeared into not one but two suitcases. Added to that was a PS2 system for Jose, Riley's Cuban friend (they can't get them in Cuba of course), 300+ DVDs (how many movies can you watch???), a computer and various odds and ends including hair products (he uses more than I do!).


A friend commented when looking at this picture - how many bathing suits does he need??? The funniest thing is, when he arrives in Rio, he will receive another suitcase and backpack full of Team Canada gear. Oh boy ...
